Parcelhub Introduces Evri Digital Futures

Evri Digital Futures is the latest delivery option available through Whistl Parcels’ single interface, providing access to 20+ carrier partners and over 600 services. The new capability helps merchants deliver with greater transparency while enhancing the end-customer experience.

Innovation that delivers real value for merchants

Mark Rosenberg, Founder and Managing Director of Whistl Parcels, continues to drive innovation in carrier management and customer service solutions by embracing technology that delivers measurable value for shippers.

He said: “We are always on the lookout for our carrier partners’ latest innovations, and we are proud to now offer Evri’s new features to retailers, brands and wholesalers through Whistl Parcels’ bespoke delivery management platform. Combined with our Proactive Tracking Support solution, Digital Futures will help the merchants we support perform better on marketplaces, increase customer satisfaction and drive customer lifetime value.”

SafePlace Photo and geo-fencing: greater confidence at delivery

Evri’s SafePlace Photo, combined with location tracking, gives retailers and consumers added confidence by providing photographic proof and delivery coordinates — even when the recipient is not at home.

  • Couriers take SafePlace photos on their handheld devices

  • Images are automatically linked to parcel tracking

  • Retailers and consumers can view photos in real time

  • Geo-fencing shows a delivery location map with a radius as small as 10 metres

This added visibility reassures consumers that their parcels have arrived safely and in the right place.

Flexible delivery options that reduce cost and contact

Consumers can divert parcels during transit, including redirecting deliveries to a SafePlace or a nominated neighbour. Co‑branded tracking updates and ETA notifications can be pushed via SMS, email, apps or websites, ensuring customers stay informed at every stage.

This combination of features helps retailers to:

  • Reduce failed deliveries

  • Lower operational and contact centre costs

  • Minimise inbound “where is my parcel?” enquiries

  • Improve overall customer satisfaction

Fewer missed deliveries and reduced fraudulent claims

SafePlace Photo enhances the delivery experience by giving consumers peace of mind when they are not at home. This increased confidence encourages more shoppers to nominate a SafePlace at checkout, helping retailers significantly reduce missed deliveries.

Retailers also benefit from:

  • Higher first-time delivery success rates

  • Fewer incoming customer service queries

  • Greater confidence to challenge and reduce fraudulent claims

Seamless integration for retailers

Evri couriers use their existing handheld terminals to capture high‑resolution images of parcels left in a predetermined or suitably safe location, alongside precise location data. Retailers receive images immediately, with the option to automatically upload them into CRM systems, supporting faster resolution of customer queries.

Part of Evri’s £55m Digital Futures investment

SafePlace Photo and geo-fencing form part of Evri’s Digital Futures strategy, a £55 million investment focused on improving customer experience through innovation and technology. This programme also includes a new website, enhanced tracking tools and a refreshed app, all launching this year.

Martijn de Lange, CEO of Evri UK, concluded:

“SafePlace Photo combined with geo-fencing is the latest of our Digital Futures updates and reflects our vision to become the carrier of choice for every end consumer in the UK. Increasing transparency throughout the parcel journey is essential to enhancing the customer experience, and these features help us and our clients achieve exactly that.”
